Person Specification
Main Tasks
- Perform a range of tasks including the receipt, storage and delivery of product, machinery, spare parts and accessories;
- Ensure all incoming goods/materials are appropriately tagged and located as per Blue Diamond Machinery procedures;
- Carry out activities throughout the order fulfillment and transportation cycle to make sure established deadlines are met;
- Loading and unloading of goods using a forklift or other manual handling equipment;
- Ensure that the goods dispatch are remains neat and tidy at all times;
- Liaise with third party freight service providers and schedule pickups ensuring that delivery deadlines are met;
- Carry out local pickups/drop-offs of goods and materials, particularly Blue Diamond Machinery Customer Network;
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date delivery and dispatch register IAW Blue Diamond Machinery procedures;
- Take steps to avoid quality control issues; · Participate in regular stocktaking (regular checking and valuing of goods) and provide status
- Reports to supervisor/management;
- Assist with locating and labelling of new warehouse bins to accommodate future growth and product/parts holdings;
- Consult with supervisor/manager regarding changes to warehouse layout and provide appropriate information to management;
- Comply with company policies, procedures and guidelines and takes corrective action when necessary in the performance of daily tasks;
- Undertakes other tasks as directed or that may develop due to the changing aspects of the role.

- Offer flexible and helpful customer service to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and repeat business.
- Maintain proactive and effective communication with the sales, parts and workshop team, administration and management.

Qualifications and/or required qualities
- Good working knowledge of and experience with Blue Diamond Machinery products, parts and services.
- Excellent communication, customer service and sales skills.
- Professional telephone manner.
- Knowledge of computerised parts processing systems or the ability to acquire such knowledge.
- Microsoft Office
- Unleashed
- Driver’s license
- Forklift license desirable.
- First Aid qualifications desirable.
Experience
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar stores/warehousing role preferred.
- Demonstrated customer service experience with a proven capacity to communicate in a positive and helpful manner.
- Positive relationships with suppliers.
